• 1965 Beta Instruments founded. Pioneers measurement and control in the wire and cable industry
• 1971 LaserMike founders Harry Petrohilos and Paul Diles invent the first laser scanning micrometer
• 1972 LaserMike founded, first customer Vernay Labs
• 1973First "LaserMike" patent awarded
• 1981 Beta opened USA office
• 1983 Beta opened continental Europe office
• 1997 Beta and LaserMike merged under Spectris
• 2002 Plast Advisor products acquired (Denmark)
• 2003 TSI products acquired (USA)
